iSample by Kraft Foods

If George Orwell in 1984 wrote about vending machines, I bet it would have been similar to the iSample by Kraft and Intel. I don’t mean that Kraft and Intel are using this technology to take over the world. They have, instead, created a vending machine that can analyse a customers age and gender. It uses technology that looks at a customers face and by uses a series of calculations to work out these information. Kraft and Intel stress that it cannot identify individuals and will not store the images. Instead, Kraft is using the machine to understand how people buy. They are testing it with their new Temptations by Jell-o range- which is only available in America (as with many other fun items!) The iSample machine will only issue a sample of Temptations to adults, Kraft use the data for their own marketing purposes. Kraft say that this is another way of product sampling and creating a buzz for new products. I personally say anything that gives me a free pudding must be good!!

The iSample machine distributes a new dessert - Temptations - but will refuse to serve children. It 'reads' the age of people standing in front of it using biometrics

Real Milka Purple Cow

A Serbian calf is making headlines all over the world. This special calf was born looking like the famous purple Milka cow. The nice people from Kraft Foods, who own the brand, visited the calf and gave its owners, the Glavonjic family, lots of Milka related goodies. Here, at WestWay Towers we love Milka. A lot. You only need to bring a bar of Milka Daim in and we get very excited.

Here is the picture of the calf, wearing a rather fetching scarf:

Chocolate Brussels Sprouts

This post is for my colleague Peter, the customer service advisor here at WestWays. Peter sits next to me at work and I am always amused by his lunchbox. For a snack Peter eats raw brussels sprouts. Yes, you read that right, Peter snacks on raw brussels sprouts when the rest of us are tucking into crisps or snacks. Peter may be good at taking customer orders and sorting out issues, but does have strange eating habits.

When researching the Cadbury Dairy Milk giant thumbs up post- Cadbury posted this picture up of a chocolate coated brussles sprouts. This is kind of raw brussels sprouts that I can snack on! For Peter- here are top 10 ways to enjoy brussels sprouts- in case he decides to cook his sprouts!

For the rest of us, here are some yummy recipes that can be made out of Cadburys Dairy Milk! I know I will be making rocky road this weekend (if I don’t give in and scoff all the chocolate before then!).

Cadbury Giant Thumbs Up!

When Cadbury Dairy Milk ‘s Facebook page reaching a million fans- Cadbury wanted to say Thank You to all their fans. Not satisfied with just saying thank you to everyone, they decided to make a sculpture. And what would Cadbury Dairy Milk make a sculpture out of? You guessed it! Of course, Cadbury’s Dairy Milk! When I first heard about it, I thought that they would melt the chocolate- like Choccywoccydoodah‘s sculptures that you see in their shop, in Brighton. But, instead they literally built it out of  one million chunks of Dairy Milk chocolate! You can watch their YouTube video here to see how they have done it.

If this has made you hungry- hopefully there is one of our operated vending machines nearby  for you to grab a yummy chocolate bar from!
